Emma Le Lohe

Emma is mostly self taught, apart from a one year art foundation course. In the last few years Emma has returned to painting. Her work has been experimental, drawing inspiration from organic forms, the texture and colour of natural objects, using various techniques and mediums and working onto canvas, paper or wood. Emma is planning more mosaic work and other three dimensional projects in the future. This is her first exhibition.

John Nankerviell

John Nankerviell has been drawing all his life. He studied at the Fine Art Department at Reading University. Especially since 1970, he has lived and travelled in India, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, the Yemen Arab Republic, the Czech Republic, Ireland and Turkey.

Exhibitions: He has had major solo exhibitions in the West End of London, and undertakes architectural commissions. He is always trying to complete and rework unfinished pieces – with some progress, he is pleased to say.

Lucy Quartley

Lucy works in oils, creating semi abstract paintings which use colour and texture to evoke a personal response to the landscape. Translucent layers of paint are built up and then worked into, so that texture made from brushmarks and the rubbing away of paint add to the richness of the finished painting.

Exhibitions: 1997 Black Swan Open, Frome. 1998 Solo exhibition at the Round Tower, Black Swan, Frome. 1999 Pizza Express, Bath, as regional winner of The Pizza Express Art Competition. 2000 Bath Society of Artists Open, Victoria Gallery, Bath. 2000 Royal West of England Academy Open, RWA Bristol. 2001 Black Swan Open, Frome
